CLASSES SCHEDULE

Class: YOUTH BEGINNERS

Age Group: 6 - 12 years

Tuesday: 5pm - 6pm
Thursday: 4:30pm - 5:30pm
Saturday: 9am - 10am

YOUTH BEGINNERS class is designed to teach fundamental techniques and principles of fencing. Each class is 1 hours long with primarily focus on developing basic fencing skills such as:

  • Handling of the saber
  • Footwork and distance control
  • Fencing etiquette and good sportsmanship
  • Coordination and focus
  • Introduction to fencing rules

The YOUTH BEGINNERS class is offered to all ages as early as 6 years old. ALLE FENCING CLUB provides all necessary equipment to participate in the beginner program. Students are expected to attend in proper attire:

Males: T-shirt, sports pants, comfortable tennis shoes.

Females: T-shirt, sports or yoga pants, comfortable tennis shoes.

Class: JUNIORS BEGINNERS

Age Group: 12+ years old

Tuesday: 6pm - 7pm
Thursday: 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Saturday: 10am - 11am

Up to 3 classes per week with flexible schedule.

Intermediate level classes with introduction to competitive fencing and options to participate in regional and national tournaments. Each class is 1 hours long with primarily focus on advanced development of fencing skills such as:

  • Introduction to competitive fencing
  • Fencing tactics and strategies
  • Endurance and conditioning
  • Advanced footwork and fencing actions

To significantly improve fencing skills, participants are recommended to take at least 1 or 2 private lesson per week.

Typical age group of participants is 12+ with previous fencing experience or those that completed JUNIORS BEGINNERS class. Participants are encouraged to have their own fencing equipment.

Class: ADVANCED

Age Group: 10+ years old

Monday: 5pm - 6:30pm
Wednesday: 5pm - 6:30pm
Saturday: 11am - 12:30pm

Competitive level classes for experienced and fundamentally established fencers, with focus on advanced fencing strategies and tactics. Each class is 1.5 hours long with primarily focus on:

  • Preparation for regional and national tournaments
  • Advanced fencing tactics and strategies
  • Endurance, speed, focus and self-control
  • Video analysis of the bouts (optional in place of private lessons)

For best results, participants recommended to take 3 or more private lessons per week.

ADVANCED class is designed to prepare fencers physically and mentally for national and international levels of competition.

ELITE class is essential to accelerate learning process and gain necessary knowledge and techniques to compete on a high level. Coaches work with students one on one to further develop their fencing skills and tactics. ELITE class lessons are tailored to fencer’s needs and abilities. ELITE class lessons are an extremely effective way to prepare for tournaments or in-club competitive events.

ELITE class lessons are based on schedule availability and should be scheduled in advance. Fencers may choose video review and bouts analysis in place of a private lesson.

Fencers recommended to come 10-15 minutes prior private lesson start time to warm up.
